Dojo rules & Safety points

During covid-19


"PART ONE"


This info applies to both children and adults students. 

All students must sign a declaration form.


This declaration has been produced for the safety of all who practice at our dojos, Porchester Centre & Academy Sport.

Members have the responsibility to NOT train or attend the Dojo/Club in case the following is not fully fulfilled. 


Please read it carefully.


I, the attendee/guardian, declare EVERY CLASS the following is true.


1.  To my knowledge, I do not have any symptoms of Covid 19. 


2.  To my knowledge, no person in my household has symptoms of Covid 19. 


3.  To my knowledge, I or my household, have not come into contact with anyone who has Covid 19 or has any symptoms of Covid 19.


4.  I and my household have been following government rules of lockdown and social distancing.


If you or anyone in your household have had Covid 19 or the symptoms of Covid 19 you have followed the NHS government rules and guidelines:


a… Self-isolated for the correct amount of time, 10 or 14 days


b… The self-isolation continued if the symptoms persisted


c… That all of your household have not shown any symptoms for the last 14 days 


"PART TWO"


Attendees.

Training Guidelines


1.  Students to bring thair own wash gel


2.  Masks - (for over 11 year old -- when sparring only at this time) 


3.  Temperature check on arrival - ( from time to time at this time)


4.  Wear the uniform at home. No charging at the Dojo where possible - (students choise at this time)


5.  Bring with you enough water to last for the rest of the class


6.  Sign the declaration form


Guardians.


1.  Parents / guardians  at drop off & collection time please wear FACE MASKS, maintain social distance & disperse quickly.


2.  If you subsequently discovered that you or your child have Covid-19 or signs of Covid-19, must let the sensei/instructor know immediately. 

DO not attend the CLASS. 


 3.  If your child  falls sick  during the class  (or for any other reason) you shouldn't be more than 3-5min maximum away from the club. If we call you - must come at once.


4.  If your child is felling unwell- do not attend the classes - or give any medicine for peruse of attending the class. You could put your child at more risk and other at the club. 


5.  Ask your child to use the restroom at home before leaving for Karate. Avoid using the venue. 


6.  Avoid talking to the Sensei at the Dojo. If you want to talk to us - please call. 


7.  No hanging around the venue/ dojo before or after class. 


8.  Make sure you give us the updated contract details. 


Class Format. 


1.  The Sensei's/instructor's will keep the distance at all times.


2.  Students will be spaced apart from each other during class, as required. 


3.  Finishing (3 to 5 min) early to help the student to leave separately and to maintaining social distancing.


4.  The doors of the venue to be kept open where possible to increase air circulation.


5.  Have only the appropriate number of students each class. (Numbers to be determined by the size of the venue & guidelines)


6.  Only the students participating will be allowed in the dojo/class. Once their class finishes, kindly will be asked to leave and head back home.


7.  Sparring - close-contact.

We will look at the guidelines regularly to see when we are allowed to close-contact.

We will let you know the changes at the dojo. (There may be training rules) 


"PART THREE"


Booking.


As you all know we're going through difficult times, and no one knows what's going to happen next.

So please before you sign up - consider the following:


1… You're ok financially. 
2… Classes could stop at any time due to lockdown - Student's or Sensei's have contacted the virus and no classes can take place for a period of time. Also consider sudden timetable changes that are out of our control.

3.  All student must book in advance.  
Term fee must be paid on the first class the student attends.  If not?  You WILL NOT be able to participate. Please don't turn up without the full payment. 


4.  Due to limited spaces, whoever pays first, will be offered the place.  Classes are confirmed/considered BOOKED only if you pay for the term.

Not that you told us you're attending - and we told you ok.


5.  If paying cash - please put the exact money in an envelope with your name on it. 


6.  In case of a lockdown, we will continue with on-line classes for the remaining of the term.

Other Notes. 


If it is subsequently discovered that someone has Covid-19 - everyone training on that same lesson should follow government guidelines and self-isolate, including the instructor.

All students must follow the government guidelines on: returning from holidays, use of public transport and to any other changes arising. 

–   

Just so you know your contact details may be shared with authority's if required.

We ( mykarateclub.co.uk ) will adapt to any rules and procedures set by the venue or by the government.

Please note that this document will be updated regularly as required.

Also Note that -- if we stop following some of the rules on this page -- is because we may not have to so by law (government guidelines) -- and is up to us. We reserve the right to abandon or enforce those rules at any time with or without warning. 



My Karate Club,

 will do our upmost to provide a safe environment but take no responsibility for members who contract COVID-19, however contracted. Members must make their own risk assessment as to where, when or whether they will join the training. Furthermore, fully understand the risks involved and fully accept responsibility for all such risks as a condition of participation.


The attendee (guardian/parent) confirms the following:


I am,

free of any medical, physical, mental or emotional disability and physically fit in every way to be able to participate.


I acknowledge,

that Karate is a competitive and combative sport and like all sports has a risk of physical injury; I fully accept responsibility for all such risks as a condition of participation, whenever the training takes place.


I
give,

full permission to carry out First Aid Treatment in case of emergency as a very last resort.
